What is Sustainable Farming?

Sustainable farming is a holistic husbandry of the land that includes the care and replenishment of the land for current and future plantings, the building of a business that will sustain the lives of the farmers, their families, and the building of a community resource that enriches the lives of those around it. Our farming practices begin in the fields with low-input farming, lasting trellis materials, mechanical weeding and maintenance of the fields, and limited synthetic chemical inputs.

Our business is locally owned and operated. Our wines, art, and other value-added fruit products will be retailed on site. It is our hope that by farming and making wine in an environmentally responsible manner, and by developing a local niche for our value-added products, we will build a sustainable business that benefits our customers, park, community, and families.
